The 26-year-old forward, who joined Galatasaray permanently in summer 2025 after a record €75 million transfer from Napoli, capped a transformative debut season with a league and cup double, 37 goals, and national adoration. His prolific form earned him the Super Lig golden boot and Turkish Cup top-scorer honors, cementing his place as Turkey’s most-searched athlete.

At the star-studded Istanbul gala, Osimhen joined an elite club as only the third footballer in a decade to win the award, following Wesley Sneijder (2016) and Mauro Icardi (2023). In his emotional acceptance speech, he dedicated the honor to his “Galatasaray family” and fans worldwide: “This means so much to me and my family. I appreciate everyone who has supported me.
